SUMMARY:SPR International Annual Conference - FIRST NOTICE
  AND CALL FOR PAPERS
DESCRIPTION:
\n 	SPR members and non-members are welcome to at
 tend the 37th International Annual Conference of t
 he Society for Psychical Research. Members and Ass
 ociates will receive a discount on the registratio
 n fee. Accommodation and all meals will be availab
 le.

\n 	&nbsp\;
\n 
\n 	Any person may submit 
 a paper for presentation at the conference and pap
 ers may be on any aspect of parapsychology or psyc
 hical research. The usual time allocated for each 
 paper\, including discussion\, will be 30 minutes.
  Speakers should aim to make papers readily unders
 tandable to a non-specialist audience and they sho
 uld not simply read aloud an article intended for 
 publication. There will be no simultaneous session
 s. Since the conference is a residential one\, the
 re will be ample opportunity for informal contact 
 between participants. The Programme Committee also
  intends to invite a few distinguished speakers fr
 om abroad and would welcome suggestions for sympos
 ia or round-table discussions.

\n 	SUMMARIES OF PAPERS ARE STILL BEING ACCEPTED 
 (UNTIL 31ST MAY). These summaries should be single
 -spaced\, single-sided and have a length of 500 to
  1000 words (at most two pages). Emailed submissio
 ns are preferred and should be sent to secretary@s
 pr.ac.uk with &ldquo\;Conference abstract submissi
 on&rdquo\; in the subject of the message. Postal s
 ubmissions should be marked &ldquo\;SPR Conference
 &rdquo\; and sent to The Secretary\, Society for P
 sychical Research\, using the address given above.

\n 	Authors whose contributio
 ns are accepted will be informed by 1st July. The 
 full conference programme will be distributed with
  the July issue of the SPR Journal with a registra
 tion and booking form\; it will also be available 
 from the SPR office and on our website.
