7 p.m. - SPR Lecture – Dr Serena Roney-Dougal – THE MAGIC OF PSI

Registration is closed for this event
Rex Stanford in his PA Presidential address asked: “Are we Scientists or Shamans”? Ken Batcheldor, in his table tipping experiments, used high spirits, alcohol and trickery to entice the table to dance. In Paranthropology, we are doing research in cultures for whom magic is part and parcel of life, and for whom the psychic phenomena are the tools of that magic. Psi and magic are inextricably linked.

Serena Roney-Dougal did a Ph.D. thesis in Parapsychology at Surrey University, and is the author of "Where Science and Magic Meet" and "The Faery Faith." She has spent over 45 years studying and experiencing scientific, magical and spiritual aspects of the psyche, and has lectured and taught courses, seminars and workshops in America, Japan, Europe and India. She has just completed a research programme into the relationship between meditation and psychic awareness with Yogis and with Tibetan monks in India.

See Serena Roney-Dougal's website for further information:
