CANCELLED 14th November 2022 8 p.m. GMT - via ZOOM - Leo Ruickbie - The Ghost in the Time Machine

Due to circumstances beyond our control, we have had to cancel this SPR webinar with Dr Leo Ruickbie on ‘The Ghost in the Time Machine’. We apologise for the short notice and are now liaising with Dr Ruickbie to try and arrange a new time slot, so keep an eye on the website for updated details on this. Remember, we also have our Study Day on 26th November celebrating 140 years of the SPR. Our next webinar will be with on Monday 28th November with Dr Jan Holden who will be giving the second part of her talks on near-death-experiences. The original description of the talk: Here he describes the Society for Psychical Research and its approach to the study of the paranormal. He notes that the SPR does not take a position regarding the existence or non-existence of any particular phenomenon. He describes his essay on postmortem survival that won the 3rd Prize in the 2021 Bigelow Institute competition. He also explains that, as a sociologist, he tends to avoid identifying with particular belief systems.
