This year we will be welcoming Daryl Bem as our after-dinner speaker on Saturday. He has been much in the news recently for a paper on retroactive facilitation of recall, and Stuart Ritchie, Richard Wiseman and Chris French’s presentation on attempts to replicate Daryl’s results will be followed by his reply. Ed May will close the conference with an invited talk on the famous Stargate project.
In addition, conferences are a marvellous opportunity to network, and there will be time to socialise during lunch and coffee breaks, not to mention during the President’s drinks reception (hosted by our new President Richard Broughton) and over the Saturday’s conference banquet. Given Edinburgh’s long-standing association with parapsychology, we are pleased that the drinks reception will be hosted by the Koestler Parapsychology Unit, preceded by a talk given by longstanding KPU member Caroline Watt.
This year’s conference promises to be full of interest, and those who attend, whether this is their first conference or their thirty-fifth, can be sure of having an enjoyable and informative time in an historic city.
