SPR STUDY DAY 70 - RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARCHIVES

Registration is closed for this event
Please note that the location of this event is ST MARY ABBOT'S CENTRE, and not St Philip's Church as previously stated.

The Study Day willl focus on the importance for psychical research of preserving and avoiding the break-up of archival material.

The speakers will draw on their personal experience with archival collections in the UK and Holland, explaining how archival material can be recovered, indexed, conserved and made accessible to a wider audience. Otherwise, the real ghosts of historical research may become those documents 'missing-in-archive'. They will also stress the benefits of archives in assisting the design and interpretation of present-day research, and their utility in such applications as missing-person cases. The day will end with a general discussion, including audience participation.
